This is an inline humidification solution unit for the Z1/Z2 Travel CPAP Machine. This device recycles the heat and moisture from exhaled air. It does not require the additional power and takes up little space.
Usually about once a week. Heat Moisture Exchangers should be changed as needed when humidification levels appear to drop. The Z1/Z2's Heat Moisture Exchange Unit will need to be replaced regularly, but if maintained properly, can last up to a week.
Heat moisture exchanger installation
Connect the large diameter end of the HME to your mask and the smaller diameter end to your CPAP tube. Be sure both connections are fully seated and secure. Your HME is now ready for use. Note: the Z1 and Z2 machines have standard hose sizes and will work with any standard platform type heated humidifer such as the Fisher and Paykel humidifier model HC150.
